What's Up With William? Medikidz Explain Organ Transplants
Luckily for William, the Medikidz, a group of medical super heroes, are on standby to whisk him off to Mediland (a distant planet shaped like the human body) to explain the important roles that organs play in the human body and why people need organ transplant operations when things go wrong. Pump, Chi, Skinderella, Gastro, Axon and their trusty robot Abacus ensure that their particular brand of edutainment is always engaging and informative.
Join William on whirlwind tour around the human body as the Medikidz explain the reasons for all the tests and procedures before and after a transplant, and why doctors need to be sure they have found an organ that is a 'good match'. On his adventure William will encounter cells carrying antigen ID cards and witness what happens when the over-zealous immune system army thinks there is an intruder attack!
