Thyroid Gland
Your thyroid gland is one of the largest and most important of your endocrine glands and it is found in your neck. It controls how quickly your body burns energy and makes proteins, and it also controls how sensitive your body should be to hormones.
Your whole body is affected if your thyroid gland doesn't do its job properly, and it makes and releases three thyroid hormones.
