Spleen
Explanation

Your spleen is part of your immune system. It is found under your ribs on the left hand side of your body. It filters your blood, getting rid of things like bacteria and viruses.

When blood flows through your spleen, your white blood cells attack and remove any foreign invaders to help protect you against infections. Your spleen also breaks down old red blood cells at the end of their lifespan.
