Small Intestine
Your small intestine is where digestion work happens after food leaves your stomach. Nutrients are extracted from the food you eat and are taken into your bloodstream through the villi and microvilli of the intestine wall.
The nutrients can then be transported to wherever they are needed. After leaving your small intestine, leftover food moves into your large intestine.
