Explanation

Radiation is invisible particles that come out of a machine in a special kind of invisible beam. It can be used to see inside you and is also used in the treatment of cancer. It is aimed right at your cancer cells and kills any that are in its path!

Although normal cells are also in its path, they get back to normal after the radiation because they are healthy. When you have an x-ray, a different type of radiation, called electromagnetic radiation, is used.
