Plasma
Plasma is the the liquid part of your blood. it is a yellow colour and is 90% water. Your blood cells float in it as your blood goes round your body. Plasma contains clotting proteins, so it helps your blood to clot.
It also contains other substances - some are used by your body's cells, and some are waste that your cells produce. For example, sugar, salt and minerals (like iron) are all used by cells, while carbon dioxide and urea are wastes that cells produce.
