Intravenous
Explanation

Intravenous (or IV for short) just means going into your body through one of your veins. You could have medicine or nutrients intravenously, if you are unable to eat and drink or don't feel like eating or drinking, or if you need medicine to get into your bloodstream very quickly. You would usually get intravenous medicine through a drip or by an injection.
