Hypoglycaemia
Hypoglycaemia (having a 'hypo') is very low blood sugar. It can be caused by too much insulin in your bloodstream or insulin at the wrong time, too much exercise or exercise at the wrong time, too little food or not enough glucose in your food. It can make you sweat, make your heart pound and you can also faint. If you have type 1 diabetes, you need injections of insulin to stop you getting hypoglycaemia.
