Explanation

Glucagon is a hormone that controls the amount of glucose in your blood. It is produced by your pancreas between meals. Glucagon tells your liver and muscle cells to release stored glucose to make sure you have the right levels of it in your blood. Glucagon has the opposite effect to insulin, because it increases blood sugar levels.
