Eczema
Explanation

Eczema (also called atopic dermatitis) is disease that gives you a chronic inflammation of your skin. You get an insanely itchy skin rash, which is triggered by allergens or irritants in the environment. The white blood cells in your immune system, confuse harmless allergens with enemy invaders. To help defend you, the white blood cells try to 'fight the allergens off' by releasing powerful natural chemicals, called histamines, prostaglandins and leukotrienes, into your skin. These make it become red, dry and extremely itchy. You are more likely to have eczema if someone in your family has it, or has asthma.
