Bronchodilator
Explanation

Bronchodilators are just medicines that make the airways of your lungs bigger. 'Broncho' means lung airways and 'dilator' means make bigger. Bronchodilators relax the muscles that are squeezing tight around your lung airways, by telling the muscle layer to stop squeezing. They work instantly, so you take them when you feel breathless.

If you have any questions, you can ask your doctor, or chat to other people about bronchodilators in the Medikidz forums and virtual world, Mediland.
