Anti-Depressants
Medicines used to treat depression are called anti-depressants. There are lots of different types, but you are most likely to be given one that makes sure enough serotonin neurotransmitters are being sent round your brain.
Anti-depressants are often used in combination with psychotherapy for the treatment of really bad depression.
If you have any questions, you can ask your doctor, or chat to other people about anti-depressants in the Medikidz forums and virtual world, Mediland.
