Explanation

Allergens are substances found in foods, plants and animals or in the air. If your immune system overreacts to them, they cause allergic reactions. If you have asthma and/or eczema, certain allergens trigger your illness. Common allergens include grass, flower and tree pollen, particles from the feathers or coats of pets, and dust mites.
