'What's Up With Bridget's Mum' is a brilliant graphic/comic book that has the Medikidz from Mediland come down to Earth and tell Bridget what is making her mum so ill.
This is a well conceived series of books that gives the facts of the disease in a very graphic way that is suitable for kids from 8/9 +. It tells the story in a humorous and interesting way that childrem will understand with ease.
In this case the Medikidz take Bridget to Mediland where they land on a supersize breast which they have to climb up and then slide down inside. Bridget is shown what happens and how a cancer cell forms and what the doctors do to get rid of the tumour.
The graphic artist has done well here as the pictures are bright and fun to look at with the balloons easy to read.
I really enjoyed this and funnily enough I think a few adults would benefit from reading these books. I more than highly recommend this series.
