This month Medikidz was shortlisted for IPG Newcomer of the Year as part of the 2011 IPG Independent Publishing Awards.
Nominated alongside Bright Red Publishing and Peirene Press - all founded within the last three years - Medikidz was commended for the originality of its founding mission and for making an impressive start for a young company. As the judges highlighted, "Medikidz has had a fantastic idea for publishing and has made a very good start. What it is doing in its field is admirable". All shortlists were compiled by a panel of experts sharing decades of experience across various sectors of publishing and related industries.
This has been an excellent opportunity for Medikidz to reflect on the many achievements of the past two years and to look to continue to make a significant impact upon young people's lives worldwide. With already twenty titles in the series - www.medikidz.com/shop - and translations into various languages, Medikidz is aiming to build upon recent successes all through 2011.
