The two chief executives of a company that makes cartoons to explain illnesses and medical procedures to children plan to prove that women can be successful in business as well as being mothers.Dr Kim Chilman-Blair and Dr Kate Hersov, who run Medikidz, are both due to give birth any day.
Hersov says: "We're still in the office full-time and will probably both be on the BlackBerry until someone says ''push''."
The women say becoming pregnant within a week of each other was 'bad business planning', but do not expect it to cause problems.
Hersov says: 'An interim chief executive will be with us until January. We will come back full-time in February and have built a nursery in the office so we can bring in our babies to work each day.'
Julie Meyer, founder of Ariadne Capital and one of the online Dragons for the BBC's Dragons' Den, has joined the board as a non-executive director this month. She will help with the launch of online and digital versions of the comics.
