These cartoon superheroes are on a mission - to explain swine flu in a way children will understand.

'What's Up with Jasmine? Medikidz Explain Swine Flu' is the latest in a series of comic books featuring the characters.

Each title explains a common childhood condition in an entertaining way that children will find easy to understand.

The Medikidz are the creations of New Zealand paediatricians Kim Chilman-Blair and Kate Hersov who became frustrated at the lack of resources available to help educate sick youngsters about their conditions.

Doctors are closely involved in the development of the books and resources.
