MediHealth - Nervous system
Your nervous system is a network of electrical signals that are sent by neurons to tell your body what to do. These signals travel back and forth between your brain and other parts of your body via nerves in your spinal cord, which runs down through your spine.
Your nervous system is responsible for things in your body that happen quickly, like moving an arm or a leg, or breathing. It sometimes works together with your endocrine system to keep your body working properly. The two systems are linked by your pituitary gland.
