MediHealth - Allergic reaction
An allergic reaction happens when your immune system thinks that something harmless, like a peanut, is a germ and overreacts trying to fight it. This can make you feel very unwell and be very dangerous. If you have an allergy to something, your body will start an allergic reaction if you come into contact with the thing you are allergic to. If something causes an allergic reaction, it’s called an allergen.
